Jon Batiste

Jon Batiste is a five-time Grammy Award-winning and Academy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and composer.

Batiste released his eighth studio album, Beethoven Blues (Batiste Piano Series, Vol. 1), in November 2024 via Verve Records/Interscope. Marking the first installment in his new solo piano series, the project showcases Batiste’s interpolations of some of Beethoven’s most iconic works, reimagined through an expansive lens. These reimagined classics embody the indomitable spirit of the blues, and—true to Batiste’s “message of open-armed inclusivity” (New York Times)—embrace a broad genre spectrum.

Beethoven Blues (Batiste Piano Series, Vol. 1) follows World Music Radio (released August 2023 via Verve), which draws inspiration from Batiste’s mission to create community and expand culture with the power of music. Featuring collaborators including Jon Bellion, Lana Del Rey, Lil’ Wayne, and more, the album received positive reviews from critics who praised the project for its universal message and genre-defying sound. Hailed by NPR as “a sprawling exploration of what global music can sound like,” the album received a total of five Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year. Batiste kicked off his first-ever headlining tour, Uneasy Tour: Purifying the Airwaves for the People, the following year.

Batiste’s innovative score is featured in Jason Reitman’s SATURDAY NIGHT, which released in theaters in October 2024. Depicting the chaotic 90 minutes leading up to the first broadcast of Saturday Night Live in 1975, the film is underscored by Batiste’s musical masterpiece, which features a blend of jazz, classical, and contemporary elements. Batiste composed and produced the music live on the soundstage in front of the cast and crew, perfectly capturing the intensity and unpredictability of the show’s debut episode.

Batiste was the subject of Matthew Heineman’s moving 2023 documentary AMERICAN SYMPHONY, released on Netflix in partnership with Barack Obama and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground. Batiste and Grammy winner Dan Wilson penned the emotional song “It Never Went Away” for the film, which earned an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song and two Grammy nominations.

In 2021, Batiste released We Are, which was nominated for 11 Grammy Awards across seven different categories, a first in Grammy history. He went on to win five Grammy Awards that evening, including Album of the Year. In 2018, he received a Grammy nomination for Best American Roots, and in 2020, he received two Grammy nods for the albums: CHRONOLOGY OF A DREAM: LIVE AT THE VILLAGE VANGUARD and MEDITATIONS (with Cory Wong). Batiste also composed and performed music for the Disney/Pixar film SOUL, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Original Score alongside fellow composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. SOUL also earned Batiste a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, an NAACP Image Award, and a Critic’s Choice Award. From 2015 until 2022, Batiste served as the bandleader and musical director of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS.

Andra Day

Andra Day is an Emmy® Award-winning, GRAMMY® Award-winning, Golden Globe® Award-winning, and Academy Award®-nominated singer, songwriter, actress, and activist whose influence transcends music, film, and culture. A generational talent, her voice and presence have proven to be powerful forces for impact and inspiration. In her very first on-screen acting role, Andra captivated audiences and critics alike with her portrayal of the legendary Billie Holiday in The United States vs. Billie Holiday. Her emotionally raw and transformative performance made her only the second Black actress in history to win the Golden Globe® for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama. She also earned an Academy Award® nomination for Best Actress and took home a GRAMMY® for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. Following her breakout acting success, Andra won a Children and Family EMMY® Award for her work as a writer and performer in We The People, and continued to expand her screen presence with powerful performances. Most recently, she starred in the Netflix hit The Deliverance, which debuted at number 1 on Netflix’s Top 10 and added to her growing acclaim as an actress. She also starred alongside Andre Holland and Aunjunue Ellis in the critically acclaimed Exhibiting Forgiveness. Next up, she is sharing the screen with Bradley Cooper, Laura Dern, and Will Arnett in Is This Thing On?, directed by Bradley Cooper. She will also portray the iconic goddess Athena in the Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. On the music front, Andra's voice first reached a global audience with her 4x platinum anthem “Rise Up” from her debut album Cheers to the Fall. That debut earned two GRAMMY® nominations and introduced a powerful new voice in R&B and soul. In 2024, she returned with CASSANDRA (Cherith) to widespread acclaim from The New York Times, People, W Magazine, and more. She continues to make history with performances like her stirring rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” during the Super Bowl LVIII pregame show and remains deeply committed to activism—supporting organizations like Global Citizen, The Kering Foundation, Faith Moves Only No Fear and GiveDirectly. With more music, more films, and more impact on the horizon, Andra Day’s voice—and her presence—will continue to shape culture for years to come.

Diana Silvers

Diana Silvers has music in her bones. That’s evident from the first note she sings or strums — from her subtly lush songs that channel the flowing folk of Laurel Canyon and the observational prowess of Phoebe Bridgers— and it will be clear to the sure-to-be instant fans who catch her first live performance as a 2025 Pop-Up Artist at the legendary Newport Folk Festival later this month. The fact that Diana has managed to keep her gift a secret so far is as remarkable as her utterly organic music. She’s been hiding in plain sight, a buzzing actress and model whose musician friends were as stunned as anyone to learn she had been quietly writing songs on guitar and piano as a private practice. When she was pressed to share, an entire album sprang forth, recorded earlier this year at the storied Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village. As it turns out, it had been there all along.

If you spend any time reading interviews with the Los Angeles-born, New York-based artist, you will notice that nearly all of them bend toward music at some point. During the pandemic’s early days she told Vanity Fair, “I spend half my day in quarantine plonking away at some instrument, making noise just because I like it.” A FLAUNT profile noted that “Silvers’ references are eclectic and inter-generational … Jimi Hendrix and Joni Mitchell share airtime with Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey.” Her friend, the alt-pop auteur Dominic Fike, once told GQ that she’s “a fucking musical encyclopedia” who helped expand his sonic palette. Pitchfork asked her to share her personal playlist and, clearly impressed, wrote, “Music comes naturally to Diana Silvers.”

But all that was before anyone had heard her original music — and little other than a few short but striking Instagram covers, including one where she does “Hey Jude” on the glockenspiel. A self-described “nomad” with a burning curiosity, who often carries a proper film-loaded camera with her, Diana has made fast friends with artists over the years. Electric Lady is a regular haunt for her cohort, and when she decided to finally pick a guitar off the wall and play a tune for them, studio boss Lee Foster was so blown away that he immediately booked her session time and insisted she record there. Before long — before she found her way to Capitol Records — she wrote and co-produced a complete body of work, grounded by an enchanting voice, searching lyrics, and the undeniable ease of her compositions.

Throughout her life, Diana’s demonstrated incredible drive, a serious hunger for knowledge, and a seemingly preternatural ability to excel at whatever she dives into. Music has been part of that all the while. One of six children in a house where, as she told WWD, “everyone plays an instrument,” she spent 10 years studying cello, while at the same time growing her popular music education by helping her less technologically inclined dad make mix CDs. She was a competitive tennis player for some time, attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and her résumé since is far beyond impressive, stretching across film, TV, runways, cover shoots, and campaigns including Celine, Prada, Polo, and more. But when Diana was away from the spotlight, she returned to the form of expression that felt truest. She taught herself guitar, began writing, and — now — is singing that truth to the world.
